Translational Medicine – From Lab to Life: How to Translate your Research into Medical Innovations
Young scientists from all eight German Centres for Health Research (DZG) are invited to take part in a two-day conference to learn and reflect on how they can transfer their research findings into medical practice. They will have the opportunity to present their own research and engage with peers and invited experts from various disciplines and disease areas. The central theme of the meeting is translation: How can research findings be transformed into innovations that benefit patients? What are the crucial steps in the translation process? Who are the necessary partners, and how can a supportive network be established? This event offers a blend of informative sessions and practical exercises. It is designed to be highly interactive and interdisciplinary, encouraging participants to think beyond their own scientific specialties and to see the broader picture.

Present your own science!
Abstracts can be submitted independent of medical indication and methodological focus! You can choose to either present your project on a poster or in a science pitch. A science pitch is a fantastic opportunity to raise attentiveness to your research project, findings and goals. Especially in translational research it is important to present your science as comprehensive as possible and to keep messages to the point because you interact with collaboration partners of many different professional backgrounds. At the evening event the stage is for five minutes all yours to practice your science pitch in front of an interdisciplinary audience.

Participation is free of charge
You have the opportunity to submit an abstract and you can choose to either pitch your research project during the evening event or to present it as a poster.
