DKTK Young Academics Conference 2024

On Friday, June 7, this year’s Postdoc Symposium including the DKTK Young Academics Conference 2024 took place at the DKFZ Communication Center. The PDN-Committee, supported by the Postdoc Office and the DKTK School of Oncology, and sponsored by the Health and Life Sciences Alliance, organized an interactive full-day event.

Over 50 postdocs from DKFZ and Heidelberg University had the opportunity to network and learn about fellow Postdocs' work during short talks and poster sessions , as well as listen to a thought-provoking lecture about AI and grant writing by Dr. Daniel Mertens, an interesting talk about a hematopoietic trajectories in cancer by Dr. Henrik Heiland from DKTK Freiburg, and an inspiring presentation by Dr. Stefanie Houwaart, a member of the Patient Board of the DKFZ.
